Mike brings almost 20 years of cross-functional, global experience in the technology industry to ObserveIT. Prior to ObserveIT, Mike led the award-winning Global Services and Customer Success organizations at Rapid7, a security data and analytics company that went public (RPD) in July 2015.
Mike's prior positions include Senior Vice President, CAD Operations & Strategy, at PTC, Inc., a software company, Chief Financial Officer at HighWired.com, an e-commerce solution provider, and Associate/Analyst roles at Broadview Associates, Ltd., McKinsey & Company and Goldman Sachs. Mike also played professional hockey for the Quebec Nordiques (now the Colorado Avalanche). Mike received a B.A. in economics and politics, cum laude, from Princeton University and a M.B.A., with honors, from Harvard Business School.
Simon brings 20 years of sales and marketing leadership and experience to ObserveIT. As Vice President of International Sales and Marketing, Simon guides sales and partnership efforts for all regions outside of North America. Most recently he was CMO of Helen Doron Educational Group, where he led the company’s worldwide marketing efforts and directed a team of 30 professionals. Previously, he was VP of International Sales and Marketing at Pipeline, where he spearheaded the company’s EMEA and APAC sales activities and planned and executed the company’s go-to-market strategy.
Simon has also held leadership roles with Hooplahoo, Mobixell, Comverse, TTI Telecom and Lucent Technologies. He completed his MBA studies at Derbi University, and holds a BA in Commerce and Computer Science from the University of Toronto. Simon is based in the company’s Tel Aviv offices.
As VP of Finance, Nicole leads the company’s Finance and Accounting teams. She joined ObserveIT in 2016, bringing with her vast experience concentrated in the high-growth technology sector and an accomplished track record of building organizations, analyzing business needs and successfully implementing systems and processes necessary to drive company success.
Prior to ObserveIT, Nicole was the Controller at Bullhorn, which provides cloud-based software solutions for companies in service-based industries. Prior to Bullhorn, she also held positions with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Houghton Mifflin Publishing and Thomson Financial Services. Nicole graduated from Saint Anselm College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance/Accounting, and earned her Masters of Science in Accounting from Bentley University’s Graduate School of Business.
As Vice President of Marketing, Erica is responsible for ObserveIT’s global marketing efforts, including overseeing the company’s strategy, messaging and go-to-market programs. Erica joins ObserveIT with more than 17 years of marketing experience with leading technology organizations, including most recently as Director of North American Marketing for Akamai Technologies and as Global Marketing Director for Endeca Technologies (acquired by Oracle).
Additionally, Erica served as Director, Field Marketing at Novell. She received her Executive MBA degree from Harvard University, her Masters in Integrated Marketing Communications from Emerson College, and her Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity College, Hartford, CT. She is based in ObserveIT’s Boston headquarters.
Oded, Vice President of Research & Design, manages all the development, QA and support activities of ObserveIT. He joined the company in the beginning of 2014, bringing with him over 20 years of development experience.
Oded spent most of his career with BMC Software where he led multiple R&D Management projects, including the development of the award-winning CONTROL-M product. He also managed the Incubator Group, which produced several innovative products and enhancements. In his last position, Oded was CTO and VP of R&D at Whitewater Technologies; an innovative startup in the water contamination area
Oded served 7 years as an officer in the Israeli Air Force, managing system and development projects. He has a BA in computers and economics from Tel-Aviv University
Kristin leads ObserveIT’s talent approach globally, focusing on our greatest asset, our People. Kristin is a strategic HR partner, with a proven track record of talent attraction, inspiration, development and retention across high profile global organizations. In her role, Kristin is responsible for the growth of our culture and development of our people.
Prior to joining ObserveIT, Kristin spent 12 years with the Publicis Groupe where she held numerous leadership roles, accountable for developing, leading and executing comprehensive people strategies across multiple global organizations. She also brings strong business and operations acumen, having spent 10 years in advertising, working on clients such as General Motors, Four Seasons Hotels, and Verizon.
John adds nearly 15 years of executive leadership to the ObserveIT team, where as Vice President of Americas Sales, he directs sales and partnership efforts across the United States, Canada and Latin America. Prior to his role at ObserveIT, John was CEO of Reddo Mobility, CEO of Tracelytics, VP of Business Development for CloudBees, and a key member of Citrix Systems’ Mergers & Acquisitions team.
John entered Citrix through the 2007 acquisition of XenSource where he oversaw the company's most strategic business development and OEM relationships with companies like HP, Dell and Citrix. He holds a dual Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degree in accountancy from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. John is based in ObserveIT’s Boston office.
Ben is the Co-Managing Partner and leads the technology and infrastructure software investing efforts for Bain Capital Ventures. He is also the CEO of VMTurbo. Ben has been recognized in the past 4 consecutive years by Forbes Midas list as one of the top Venture Capital Investors in the US as well as by AON Venture Capital East Top 50.
Previously, Ben was a principal at Allied Capital. He also served as a political appointee member of the Senior Executive Service and direct report to US Treasury Secretaries Robert Rubin and Lloyd Bentsen.
A Harvard Scholar, Ben graduated with honors from Harvard College and Harvard Business School.
Avi co-founded ObserveIT in 2006 and served as its CEO from the company’s inception until 2014, when he hired a new, US-based CEO and focused his own role on managing the company’s Israel-based operations. Previously, He founded a cosmetics marketing company and grew it to 70 people before leaving to launch ObserveIT. Earlier in his career, Avi served in the role of VP Marketing for a leading Israeli Web portal, NetKing. Prior to joining NetKing, Avi served as VP Marketing for a catalog marketing business owned by Yediot Ahronot, one of Israeli’s largest news media companies.
Gaby Friedlander co-founded ObserveIT in 2006 with the singular goal of detecting insider threats and stopping data loss for Security Officers, CIOs and IT managers. Since then, he has built ObserveIT into the world’s leading provider of Insider Threat Management Software. He has expertise in IT security and databases.
Gaby spends most of his days working with customers, helping them understand the growing risk of insider threats, and how to prevent them. When not working with customers, he is driving product direction and the future vision of the company. Gaby is a frequent speaker on the topic of IT Security and Risk, and has presented throughout the world in over 25 countries.
David is a principal at Bain Capital Ventures and invests in IT infrastructure software companies at all stages. His focus is on the systems required to deliver an application or service: the infrastructure (networks, storage, compute) and cloud platforms, security, compliance, middleware, databases, performance management, and application development. David looks for teams that are reinventing these systems to support exponentially growing data volumes, endpoints, and malicious actors.
Jack is a highly successful entrepreneur and CEO who has led seven high-growth, technology companies. He has served at the helm of six companies as CEO, leading all to successful returns for investors. In addition to his CEO role at SevOne, Jack is an Operating Partner for Bain Capital Ventures, chairman of VMTurbo, and board member at Rapid 7.
Jack is a technology entrepreneur and investor with over 20 years of experience managing capital investments and operations in the information technology markets. He has served in executive roles at Axeda, AppNeta (formerly Apparent Networks, Inc.), EMC, Stargus, and EPiCON Inc.
Jack holds a B.S. Degree in Management from Bridgewater State College and Graduated from the Stanford University Executive Program.
Deepak Taneja, founder of Aveska and founding team member of Netegrity, brings 25 years of experience in the creation and leadership of enterprise software companies to ObserveIT.
Mr. Taneja holds a B. Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institue of Technology, Kanpur and holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineers from the University of Florida.
Larry is Vice President of Healthcare and Critical Infrastructure and member of the Office of the CISO for Optiv. Larry is focused on helping security executives in these verticals develop a comprehensive security program that balances risk and aligns with the overall business goals. He is also responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive suite of strategic services and solutions to help security executives improve their security strategies through innovation.
