Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Primary: (70%)

  • Support company customers
  • Support level 1 to 3
  • Support is typically handled via emails or Support Portal, Phone and Remote assistance
  • Hours for this role are 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST

Secondary: (30%)

  • Support internal company users
  • For all new hires:
    • Set up Office and email
    • Set up new hire workstations and laptops
    • Connecting IP phone
    • Set up A/V for all company meetings

Required Skills and Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in the IT world
    • Performing support tasks
    • Working in IT
    • Working as system administrator
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft-based operating systems (Windows XP to present, Windows Server 2003 to present) – installation, troubleshooting, configuration, administration, installing and maintaining software and applications
  • Working knowledge of all current versions of Microsoft IIS – installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server (2008, 2012, 2014) – SQL Admin tasks, running queries

As an ObserveIT Senior Sales Engineer, you will be a key member of the technical team, working directly with the VP of Sales, you will be responsible for the demonstrations, trials, and transition of the ObserveIT software platform for customers located in North America.

Job Description:

The Senior Sales Engineer (SE) acts in a technical consultative fashion and is considered a subject matter expert in his/her field by the Sales Team, clients, and customers. The Sales Engineer would combine technical and Security expertise to provide customer-focused, high-level pre-sales support. The SE is required to guide customers and collaborate with Account Executives, partners, and prospects to highlight, consult, and evangelize the ObserveIT platform.

Essential Functions

  • Define solution options and articulate the benefits of ObserveIT product and services
  • Act as an interface between the Sales organization and technical staff to resolve outstanding issues
  • Assist in closing business in regional territories through field visits to major account prospects
  • Perform product demonstrations and presentations at customer and partner sites, conferences, and events
  • Provide reporting and feedback on customer accounts and field activities to Sales, Product Management, and Engineering
  • Work closely with customers in the design and implementation/integration of ObserveIT
  • Promote new and innovative approaches to addressing business challenges and problems
  • Maintain a broad-level of knowledge of Security industry trends (focused on Insider Threat) and how ObserveIT adds value
  • Work to understand the customer’s business drivers and how to map these to a customer network platform, including identification of improvement areas in network design
  • Expected to perform tasks including demonstrations, trial guidance and assistance, installations, troubleshooting, and training of ObserveIT products. Refine and research technical requirements of the opportunity

Education and Experience:

  • Advanced understanding of Windows platforms, client-server model design, and network infrastructure
  • Proficient knowledge of all current versions of Microsoft IIS – installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting
  • Proficient knowledge of all current versions SQL Server (2008, 2012, 2014) – including but not limited to SQL Admin tasks, running queries, understanding database structures
  • Proficient knowledge of Active Directory and identity management
  • Proficient knowledge of networking - TCP\IP, subnetting, firewall administration, routing, and virtual private networks (VPNs)
  • Proficient networking troubleshooting skills - including but not limited to troubleshooting tools and procedures, protocol analyzers and log inspection Proficient knowledge in Internet protocols (HTTP, SMTP, etc.)
  • Experience of presenting to new and existing customers
  • Understand and be conversant about ObserveIT, security best practices, product strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats
  • Excellent knowledge of security solutions and technologies, including:
    • Internet security
    • SIEM technologies 
    • Database technologies
    • Data loss prevention solutions
    • Endpoint Detection and Response solutions
    • Insider Threat mitigation solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to make and take responsibility for decisions on major technical issues
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of external audiences, including being able to interact with senior executives

ObserveIT is seeking a business-minded Chief Financial Officer to lead the company through its next phase of growth. As a business partner to the CEO, the CFO will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategy for ObserveIT. He/she will be a key member of the executive leadership team, overseeing financial planning and economic modeling, while helping ObserveIT to achieve ~40% new bookings growth. The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for a team of four people, split between Tel Aviv and Boston, and will manage all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities for the organization. Areas of responsibility include Finance, Accounting, Payroll. The CFO will be actively involved in developing distribution and technology partnerships as well as identifying and evaluating all M&A opportunities. The Chief Financial Officer is also responsible for providing leadership to the finance department, assessing talent and developing the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely and collaboratively with the CEO, executive team, and board of directors to lead the annual planning process and to help develop the company’s long-term strategic and financial plans
  • Ensure the financial strength of the company by devising, implementing and driving operational metrics and monitor cash closely on monthly basis
