BOSTON-ObserveIT, the leader in user activity monitoring, today announced the release of ObserveIT 5.8. By releasing 5.8, ObserveIT enables organizations to expand their ObserveIT coverage to include business users, conduct continuous recording and monitor SFTP sessions.
“Risky user behavior is behind the majority of breaches and security incidents happening today. When approaching the problem of user-based risk, organizations tend to focus only on privileged IT users. However, business users, those with everyday access to business applications, account for 84 percent of breaches and outnumber IT users 20 to 1. Monitoring business users is essential and requires scale and performance unaddressed by privileged user management solutions, said Paul Brady, CEO of ObserveIT. “5.8 introduces significant enhancements that enable the monitoring of business users at scale while protecting their privacy.”
With new system health monitoring capabilities, 5.8 provides administrators with a high- level overview of system health, along with drill-down capabilities to quickly investigate any issues. A new Administrative Dashboard presents administrators with an overview of the most important system components and any issues requiring attention, such as communication faults, data loss, dwindling disk space, or agent tampering. These management enhancements are coupled with new protections for maintaining user privacy and significant increases in the number of concurrent users that can be monitored by a single ObserveIT Application Server.
